1. Log in to the admin portal and click "+New Card " in the top right corner.
2. Select physical card.
Note: Cardmembers can select their PIN in the Caary mobile app before the card is mailed to them. As soon as you issue the card, the cardmember will be prompted via text and/or email to select their PIN before midnight ET on the same day. Please consider this when you are issuing cards for your employees and ensure they have enough time to set their PIN. If a PIN is not selected before midnight ET, one will be randomly generated.
3. If you’re issuing the card for an existing user, select the user and skip to step 6. If you’re issuing the card for a new user, click Create New User and go to step 4.
4. Enter the user's details.
5. Select whether the user should be a cardmember or admin.
Admins have access to the admin portal and all its features to help manage your Caary program (e.g., issue cards, sync transactions, etc.). They can also be cardmembers.
Cardmembers have access to the Caary mobile app to manage their individual cards (e.g., upload receipts, lock cards, etc.).
6. You will be asked to enter the delivery address (note that we do not ship to PO boxes), a card nickname (e.g., HubSpot subscription) and team name (e.g., Sales).
The card will arrive in the mail separately from the PIN to protect the card in transit. Once the card arrives, the cardmember will need to activate their card.
7. Scroll down in the "Create new user" pop up to view card setup options. Here, you can set a spend limit by entering the amount and frequency (e.g., $1000 / week).
You can also toggle "Allow ATM Withdrawals" on or off depending on if you'd like the cardmember to be able to make cash advances.
Note that you can change these settings at any time.
You also have the option to include a description to further identify the card (e.g., June 2023 marketing campaign).
8. Click "Create Card" or "Create User" to finish issuing the card. Success! The cardmember will be notified of their new card and prompted to set their PIN in the Caary mobile app.
The physical card and PIN mailer will arrive in the mail in 7-10 business days.
Don't forget, cards can be added to your mobile wallet.
